Chase Utley of the Philadelphia Phillies
32 games going for 38. In case you didn't know Chase Utley of the Philadelphia Phillies has been on a hitting streak for 32 games now. The previous record for the Phillies is 38 games set by Utleys own teammate Jimmy Rollins back in 05'. Although Utley is not the best defensive player in the league he is certainly one of the best offensive players in the National League. Along with the .327 average comes a package of 21 homers and 69 r.b.i. Today the Phillies are playing the St. Loius Cardinals. The Cardinals probable starter is Jeff Suppan. With the record of 8-5 and the e.r.a of 4.98 Suppan isn't doing so great this year. Even if the Phillies don't win Utley has a good chance of getting a hit of the right-handed Suppan. There is a lot going on in Philadelphia right now with the Eagles, Sixers, and Phillies all having problems. Not to mention that the Phillies just traded Abreu to the damn Yankees and that the Sixers wanted to get rid of Allen Iverson. And the Eaglesjust drop T.O.! But that's a plus. I think that Philadelphia is trying to kill their teams.
Go Phillies!
