Jaguars

The top predator in South America has reached it's downfall once again. The 200 pound Jaguars that roam South America are going exsctinct along with the Giant Anteater and Giant Otters. The Jaguar isn't the biggest big cats but it sure is the stealthiest. These Jaguars do grow up to 8 feet long and that is including their tail. These Jaguars very much resemble a Pit Bull more than a cheetah. With their short, and stocky appearence these animals can take down just about anything from Cabybaras to Kamin. Appearrence in color varies between the South American Jaguar. They are spotted, pitch black and sometimes even a mixture of both. But normally it is one or the other.

Jaguars are excellent swimmers and fisherman. Unlike most cats these Jaguars love the water. In fact, a main food source for the Jagaurs is the fish that swim up along the banks of the rivers. Most cats that live in jungle areas like to settle down in trees but this cats prefers not to climb. The Jaguar would much rather live in a cave than a tree. Unlike there African cousin the Leopard, These Jaguars eatin brushy areas or the Jaguars will bury their meal for later. Other than humans these big cats have no natural enemys and get this, Giant Anteaters have been known to kill a Jaguar. Ain't that something or what. Also, Jaguars teeth are worn around many peoples neck for it is beleives to preent snakebite. Maybe I should try that, Nah I would probably get bit and die.

Jaguars are mostly solitary unless they give birth to young (2 t0 3) We need to protect these solitary animals or else they will go exstinct.
