Tiger Rookies
Joel Zumaya(left) and Justin Verlander(right) are 2 of the Detriot Tigers rookie pitchers. So you are saying so what right? Joel Zumaya regularly throws over 100 mph and so does Justin Verlander. As a relief pitcher Joel Zumaya only pitches 1-2 innings a game assuming that he gets to play. With a record of 5-1 and an e.r.a of 2.22 Zumaya has struck out a total of 65 batters in only 44 innings. Justin Verlander should get the award of Rookie of the Year for the American League. With Verlanders 2.69 e.r.a and 88 strikouts this year he has been a big addition to the Tigers pitching rotation along with Kenny Rogers. But the big story this year is Verlander's record of 13-4. If Verlander wins his game today he will have a Major League leading 14 wins. Lets all give Justin luck on his 21st apperance of the season!
Go Tigers!
