Ichiro Suzuki and Hideki Matsui

Both born and raised in Japan, Ichiro Suzuki (right) and Hideki Matsui (left) are two well known names in professional baseball. Batting .343 wit a lifetime average of .333 Ichiro brought a great bat to the Mariners in the year 2000. In Ichiro's first five seasons he recorded over 200 hits in each season fabricating a new MLB record. This season alone he's recorded 153 hits and 6 homers to help the Mariners to a 42-43 record. If that dosen't sound good to you just amagine what the Mariners would be like without Ichiro's 1100 someodd hits. Hideki Matsui or Godzilla nicknamed by his Japanese counterparts was a great addition for the Yankees in 2002. Matsui, who had played for the Yomiuri Giants back in Japan has a lifetime average of .295 and 75 homers in his career. This season Matsui was put on the 60 day DL for breaking his left wrist. Poor him but good for all of us Yankee Haters! Matsui only got to play 33 games so far this season. But he will be back soon enough. I would like to encourage Japanese players to come play becauuse frankely, all of you guys have talent.
