The Mets are doing really well this year with Carlos Beltran, Jose Reyes, David Wright, and Carlos Delgado all in the line-up. I just read a blog entry called I Want a Girl in a Baseball Cap and he is a big Mets fan so I thought I'd write about the Mets today. Carlos Beltran is having another great year with the Mets. Beltran has a batting average of .284 with 33 homers and 97 r.b.i. With Beltran and Delgado ( who has 26 homers ) batting side by side the Mets are pretty much unbeatable other than the few teams that are better than them. I wish the Orioles had gotten Carlos Beltran when he was a free agent!

The Mets are an exciting team this year, a great combination of speed, power and pitching.
I do think, though, that there are still a few missing pieces that need to be added before they become world champions.
